Well I figured it was about time for a second blog post. I know, we are not being good social mediaites by waiting so long between these post, but I hope to be much more “regular” in posting future updates.
We have just finished our 1st from start to finish client website. It's for a great client, Fletcher Images, and you can go see the results right now at FletcherImages.com. This is one of those dream sites you are always hoping you will get. It is an interesting business and best of all great photography (Design is always easier when you have great photography).
Well let me tell you a little about the process. We went through the COMPASS plan with Fletcher Images and really defined what our objectives were. They knew they had a great product and a great price. They just needed a better way of showing off the portfolio online and they needed a strong web strategy.
Most photographers in Columbia used flash when they were trying to create an impactful impression. That didn't mesh with our strategy mainly because of flash's lack of search engine friendliness. But with Randy's technical prowess we were able to deliver a “flashy” experience while still being Search Engine Friendly. Then once we had the look and feel that we were wanted we started focusing on content.
Search engine marketers love to talk about keywords. But we feel that keywords don't mean anything without good content to back it up. Google says “Content is King” and we follow that belief as well. We went through his content and merged the marketing with information and we think we have struck a great balance. Now we are in the process of getting the word out. Submitting to all the search directories, working with the client to build his social media program, and tracking the sites performance with analytics.
We congratulate Fletcher Images on the new site launch and look forward to having a long and prosperous relationship.
